Issue No. 189 - November

"...there was a first-rate performance by Adelene Stanley as a high-priestess figure accompanied by four young men... Stanley's very strong, controlled technique enabled her to move with confident fluidity and expressiveness, and she showed a natural ability to communicate with the audience without a trace of self-consciousness. I am sure she has an excellent career ahead."

"Adelene Stanley as The Chosen One (in Mark Baldwin's Rite of Spring) gave a performance of maturity and conviction that never faltered."

LIVE REVIEW: INALA - A ZULU BALLET

12 October 2014

"Adelene Stanley swept onto the stage all the grace of an ocean wave, and thus was the audience taken into an at times bizarre, unsettling, and fundamentally euphoric production."

"At the show's heart were its love stories: Mbulelo Ndabeni's breathe-taking duet with Adelene Stanley..."

"Certainly the hair raisng opening to the second half is deliberately alien, Stanley, again stands out here."

- by Gabrielle Watts
"Adelene Stanley stood out in particular for her sharp, impulsive attack."

Testimonials

"I worked with Adelene on several projects in 2019 from the Porsche 911 launch to the Bvlgari Christmas Light up, and this fire cracker never fails to knock it out of the park, exceeding all our expectations and bringing the show from conceptualisation to life. The Porsche project was complex, involving many different dance genres from 1960s to contemporary. Throughout the process Adelene brought so much value to the project from creative direction to infectious enthusiasm, it has been so much fun working along side and learning from her. Given an opportunity, I’d work with her again in a heartbeat. She and her team of dancers steal the show, and that’s not an easy feat when Diamonds or Porsches are involved ;) Feel free to contact me if you have any questions at wen.lung@mci-group.com

"Adelene is, simply put, one of the best students this school has had in my thirty years here.  She is dangerously beautiful. She has become an exremely accomplished dancer and yet has great potential yet. She works like a demon but is always a  joy to be in the studio with. She is a very hard worker and a positive contributor to any group. She has choreographed very interesting work. This is a very special women, dancer, artist."

- Ross McKim MA PhD, Former principal of Rambert School
